GLOBAL COMPACT

Together with all the other companies in the group, Itelyum Purification joins the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest strategic sustainability initiative. It was born from the desire to promote a global economy that respects human rights and labor, protection of the environment and fight against corruption.

The Global Compact encourages companies around the world to create an economic, social and environmental framework aimed at promoting a healthy and sustainable world economy that guarantees everyone the opportunity to share its benefits.

To this end, the Global Compact requires the member companies and organizations to share, support and apply in their sphere of influence a set of basic principles relating to human rights, labor standards, environmental protection and anti-corruption. These are universally shared principles as they are derived from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the ILO’s Declaration , the Rio Declaration and the United Nations Convention against Corruption.

Furthermore, Itelyum Purification supports the Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the United Nations in 2015, which inspire the actions of governments, civil society, stakeholders and individuals, becoming the new reference also for business and its counterparts.
